GEOINT 2006 HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL

More than 3,000 people from across Industry, Academia, and the Defense and Intelligence communities descended on Orlando, Florida for the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s (USGIF) GEOINT 2006 Symposium. The turnout, which included representatives from 17 countries, exceeded all expectations and further solidified GEOINT as the Nation’s Premier Intelligence Event.

Due to the overwhelming success of last year’s event, where 2,184 attendees registered, GEOINT 2006 featured nearly double the exhibit space, a larger and more robust interoperability technology demonstration, and a third full day of keynotes, panels and exhibits.

The theme of GEOINT 2006 centered on harnessing the true power of geospatial intelligence to obtain actionable intelligence in a changing world. Those in attendance discovered cutting-edge geospatial intelligence technologies, heard from and asked questions of top leaders in the intelligence community, learned about academic research and continuing education opportunities, and networked with the who’s who in the geospatial intelligence community.

The GEOINT 2007 Symposium will be held October 21-24 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Already, more than 90 percent of the GEOINT 2007 exhibit space is sold out. For information about next year’s event, please visit the GEOINT 2007 Symposium website.
