USGIF is proud to announce that former Florida Congressman Joe Scarborough, political commentator and host of MSNBC’s “Scarborough Country,” will keynote this year’s GEOINT 2006 Hall of Fame Awards & Dinner Banquet. Mr. Scarborough's full biography can be read here.
Full-Symposium Attendees receive a ticket to Thursday's dinner with their registration. Exhibitors, Exhibit-Only Attendees, and Guests are welcome to purchase tickets through the GEOINT registration website. We encourage all attendees to come and enjoy a night of entertainment and honor the community’s scholarship and award winners.
Scholarships
The Foundation annually awards scholarships totaling more than $50,000 to current graduate and undergraduate students studying in fields related to geospatial intelligence, as well as graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing this field of study. During the dinner, the Foundation will recognize the 12 recipients this year’s scholarships.
Awards
The USGIF sponsors three Awards Programs to recognize influential and innovative members of the geospatial intelligence community.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented, upon selection by the USGIF board, to an influential member of the geospatial intelligence community for his or her extended commitment and dedication to the geospatial-intelligence tradecraft.
The annual Geospatial Academic Achievement Award commends the achievements of the top graduate of a nationally recognized geospatial-intelligence academic program as well as the organization that demonstrates the top geospatial intelligence research program or project.
The Geospatial Intelligence Achievement Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the tradecraft by an individual or team from each of three sectors: government, industry, and military.
